Project Description

In October 2016 DSB revitalised the DSB Døgnet, where customers could travel across the country at exceptionally low fares. This activity was surrounded by a lot of different activities and one of them was a digital utility targeting families traveling with kids.

We invented a platform where we combined user generated data with DSB data to create a subject of conversation between the parents and children while traveling. The everpresent hunt for digital monsters was the foundation which the service build on.

Results

The services was on the day used by around 1.000 unique users and it also served as proof of concept for combining DSB data with other datasets.

“Dejligt at I bringer smil og kommer med lidt sjove tiltag. Alt er jo ikke planer og tidspunkter.”

“Super ide! Fantastisk at lave den slags services! Må i gøre noget oftere! ”

Using data as creative driver

The creative solution was founded on data layers. We worked with combining data from rejseplanen and pokemongo.dk to create a correlation, that could show where the most monster activity was around the station and help users plan when to take the next train.

The solution was developed using a wordpress backend for handling the webapp.

The solution was created with our digital implementation partner Plant. Also visit their website for more inspiration.
